So, we have had Mollie for about 2 weeks now. Mollie was found by Rich's brother. He found him in a local paper. She was being given away as "food" or pet Rabbit . (could a domestic Rabbit even be eaten? Isn't it Hare's that are considered eatable?) Anyway, that is all BIL had to see. He went and got her KNOWING Rich would "save" her from such a fate. And of course Rich said yes. ( Do you think Rich's brother knows him well? And do you think the guy advertising her knew there would be an animal lover out there who would fall for his "food comment?)
Anyway, she comes home and it was love at first site. She is 17 lbs. Has Calico coloring and is a huge love bug. She adores being scratched between the ears and will sit there for an hour cooing and chilling. BTW, if you dare to stop because your hand is tired, she'll put her head under your hand and nudge you.
Her favorite snack are raisins. She will come out at least once a day (she pretty much lies under the bed unless she wants some loving or her snack, chase you around and stomp her back feet at you until you grab the Raisin bag and give her a handful.
She is litter box trained , is set in her routine, out of her cage in the morning by 7, in her cage around 8 at night to go to bed. If you are one minute late opening that cage door in the morning she bangs her head of the door.
She has her toys, her bed and her favorite foods and fruits or veggies and hates any disruption to her routine.
In two short weeks, she is as much a part of this family as if she has always been here. She makes us laugh every day with her antics.
And so, without further ado, here is Mollie:

She looks sweet. I'm following you back! Thanks for entering my contest!
ReplyDeleteWow, you got lucky. My rabbit is cute, but kind of a jerk and dislikes being petted.
